Event organizers

Since 2005, we have been supporting the Polish IT / data science community in its development. We are not only the organizer, but also the initiator of many significant events aimed at industry professionals and students, such as Warsaw IT Days, Data Science Summit, The Hack Summit, DevAI by DSS, MS Tech Summit, IT Job Fair and many meetups. We also help organize IT and data science conferences to companies / organizations interested in such activities. For, questions, feel free to contact us.

PyData Warsaw is a group for anyone interested in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and their applications such as Big Data, predictive analytics, data science and robotics. Our main focus is Python based technology stack, but not only. All skill levels are welcome. We started this group because we want to meet other enthusiasts in the area. We're looking forward to exploring exciting new ideas with everybody!

PyWaw is a community that brings together Python enthusiasts from Warsaw and beyond. Our group welcomes not only Computer Science students and professional developers but also anyone who has just begun their Python journey. FAQ

1. Who is Python Summit aimed at?

Python Summit is a conference for developers and other people involved in software development who want to stay up to date with trends and implement modern AI-based solutions.

2. What elements does an event consist of?

Python Summit is primarily a large-scale conference on building solftware that uses AI. The conference is also accompanied by a number of other elements and attractions, including:
⚬ Python Expo - industry fair of job, products and services,
⚬ afterparty - evening networking meeting,
⚬ matchmaking (available to participants of selected packages) - a dedicated functionality on the event platform that allows to establish contacts between event participants and individual online chat.

3. What is the formula of the event in 2024 (online, onsite)?

The event will take place both onsite and online. On the first day (Tuesday, December 10), the conference and Expo will be held online, in the participant's account on a dedicated platform. The second day (Wednesday, December 11) will be held onsite at the Conference Center of the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw - there you will be able to listen to all the speeches from the onsite tracks and visit the stands of onsite exhibitors.

The elements of the event, including individual online and onsite occurrences, are completely independent and separate from each other. Onsite content is not available to online participants and vice versa. Only participants of the online + onsite packages receive access to the entire event.

4. What if, for any reason, the event cannot take place in-person?

In this case, the stationary part of the event will take place at a different date or online - for which, if necessary, we are fully prepared.

5. What types of speeches are included in the Event Agenda?
    Participants of Python Summit get access to the following types of talks:
  • ⚬ Livestreamed presentations (online part),
  • ⚬ Presentations in the form of specially prepared recordings available as VoD (online part),
  • ⚬ Stationary presentations (onsite part)
  • In addition, participants receive access to a library of VoD recordings of speeches from the previous editions.
6. How can I know in what form individual speeches will be presented?

In the Agenda, next to each lecture, there is information in what form it is presented - Online Live, Online VoD or stationary (in this case, the room number is given). In addition, next to each path there is information about the form in which it is implemented.

7. What language are the lectures in?

Lectures are conducted in Polish or English. Information on the language of individual speeches is available in the Agenda.

8. Will the live presentations be recorded and available after the conference?

All live online and onsite Main Stage occurrences will be recorded. Recordings of live speeches, like all recordings made available in the VoD model, will be available in the participant's account for 3 months after publishing the recordings.

9. When will recordings of live speeches be available?

We usually provide recordings up to 2 weeks after the conference. We always inform you about this by e-mail.

10. Until when will recordings of speeches be available?

Access to all VoD presentations and recordings of speeches that were presented live is granted for 3 months from the date of publication of these recordings.

11. How can I ask questions to speakers?

In the case of speeches broadcast live online, it will be possible to ask questions to the speakers in live chat. In the case of VoD speeches - in the comments section under the recording of the lecture. During the stationary part, after each lecture, we have prepared a round tables session, where you will be able to ask questions and talk directly with the speaker after his speech.

12. How can I rate instances?
Your opinion is very important to us and the speakers, so we will be very grateful if you share it with us. Each lecture can be evaluated by logging in to your Participant account under Conference > Agenda.
13. Until when can I register?

You can register until the day of the event or until the seats are exhausted (the number of tickets in individual pools and packages, both for the online and onsite part, is strictly limited).

14. Can I purchase VoD access after the event?

Yes, it is possible to purchase packages entitling you to access VoD recordings after the event. However, these packages do not include gift bags and other benefits offered to participants during the event, and the time limit for access to VoD recordings is 3 months from the date of the event/publication of recordings, not from the date of purchase.

15. How can I buy more than 1 package?

In registration, select the "I am buying for several people" option, and then select the appropriate number of packages (one package for one person). After paying for the order, you will receive invitation codes, which should then be given to the people for whom the tickets are to be intended. online event and will be able to download a personal invitation entitling to enter the stationary part. In order to create an account, you must go through the registration process, providing the invitation code received from the person who paid for the ticket in the first step. After entering the code from the invitation, the price of the relevant package will be reduced and the person will be able to create an account in the selected package without incurring any costs.

16. How can I use a discount/invitation code from a group purchase?

The discount code can be used to register on the website http://pythonsummit.org/. At the first step of registration, at the bottom of the page, select the option "I have an invitation code", and then enter and confirm the code. After confirming the code, the prices of the packages under which the code is valid will be reduced accordingly.

17. Can I receive a pro-forma or deferred payment invoice?

It is possible to issue an invoice with a deferred payment date. After placing the order and completing the registration, write an email to {{ contactInfo.participantContact.email }}. Since this service is completely manual, a handling fee of PLN 49 is charged.

18. Can I get an invoice for the purchase of tickets and extras?

A personal invoice for a private person is issued for each order. A VAT invoice for an entity conducting business activity is available only after selecting the "Buy for a company" option when choosing a package.

The title on the sales document (regardless of the selected options) is "Participation in Python Summit conference". If you need to add additional annotations to the sales document, you will find a field for entering them during registration.

19. Can I get a student discount on my ticket?

Persons with student status who are under 24 years of age can receive a 50% discount on the purchase of a Basic or Online+ (extended with recordings of the Onsite part) ticket. The discount is calculated from the current price of a given package and applies only to private purchases.

A ticket purchased with a student discount can only be used by the person who made the purchase and whose name is on the sales document. It is not possible to purchase a ticket with a student discount for an entity conducting business activity.

20. How can I pick up a t-shirt/hoodie (included in the package or purchased as an additional option)?

T-shirts and hoodies, whether included in the package or purchased as an optional extra, can be collected at the onsite part of the event.

If it is not possible to collect the T-shirt / hoodie in person during the event, in exceptional cases, it is possible to collect it at another time, at a place indicated by the Organiser in Warsaw.

21. Where is the event taking place?

The onsite part of the event will take place in the center of Warsaw at the Copernicus Science Center (Conference Center, Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 20, 00-390 Warsaw). Due to restrictions, the exact address may change (in such a case, we will inform participants by email).

All online elements of the event (access to live broadcasts, VoD recordings, live chat, Python Expo virtual exhibition hall) will be available to logged-in users on a dedicated platform.

22. What time does the event take place?

The event takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The exact start and end times of individual elements and speeches on a given day can be checked in the Agenda.

23. Is lunch available for attendees during the on-site event?

For participants of the Standard and Exec packages, lunch is available as part of the selected conference package. Participants in other packages can purchase lunch as an additional option.

24. Can I get a certificate for attending the event?

Yes, each conference participant receives a personal certificate confirming participation in the event. The certificate will be available for download after the event in the Participant's Account.

25. Can I enter the Python Expo without registering?

No, to enter the Python Expo you need to register and download a free pass (Expo package available in Registration). During the stationary part of the event, tickets are checked at the entrance. In turn, to participate online, you must have an active account, which you will create when registering.

26. How can I contact exhibitors?
Exhibitors can be contacted, e.g. via:

  • ⚬ online chat, which you will find at the virtual booth,
  • ⚬ sending any message via the contact form at the virtual stand.

  • ⚬ conversation during the afterparty (participation only for participants with Basic, Standard and VIP packages), where most of the exhibitors' representatives are usually present ;).
As always, participation in the Expo is completely free.
27. Where can I find exhibitor's stands?

The exhibitors' stands will be located in the corridor next to the presentation rooms and will be available online (access after logging in to the User Account).

28. Who can attend the afterparty?

Participants of selected packages, Exhibitors and Speakers of the event can take part in the afterparty.

29. Where will the afterparty take place?
Invitations to the afterparty with the exact location will be sent to eligible attendees closer to the event date.
30. Who is the organizer of the event?

The event is organized by the Academic Partners Foundation.

31. How can I contact the organizers?
